Susan Rudy is a professor of English at The University of Calgary. Her research interests include Canadian Literature, Experimental Writing, Feminist Theory, Literary Theory, North American Poetry and Poetics, and Women's Writing in English. She is the author of three books: Women, Reading, Kroetsch: Telling the Difference (Waterloo: Wilfrid Laurier University Press, 1991); with Pauline Butling, Writing in our Time: Radical Poetries in English Canada (Waterloo: Wilfrid Laurier University Press, 2005), and Poets Talk: Interviews with Robert Kroetsch, Daphne Marlatt, Erin Mouré, Dionne Brand, Marie Annharte Baker, Jeff Derksen, and Fred Wah (Edmonton: University of Alberta Press, 2005). She is also the editor of Fluid Arguments (Toronto: Mercury Press, 2005), a forthcoming book of Nicole Brossard's essays in English and co-author with Pauline Butling of At the moment: alternative poetries and communities in English Canada since 1960. She has published papers on Eli Mandel, Erin Mouré, Audrey Thomas and Claire Harris. An active editor, she oversaw the publication of papers presented at the conference "Les Femmes et Les Textes / Women and Texts: Langages, Technologies, Communautés, Languages, Technologies, Communities"; she has also editied and co-edited several issues of the journal Open Letter: a Canadian Journal of Writing and Theory.
